Multi-Language Mental Health Resources for Families

Information and resources to help parents and caregivers support the mental health and well-being of their families is important.

BC Children’s Health Bridge and BC Children’s Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre are partnering with Our Kids’ Health (OKH) on a community education campaign to provide free, evidence-informed and culturally relevant mental health resources in multiple languages, to help promote mental health and reduce mental health challenges and inequities faced by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) families in BC.

Recognizing Self-Harm: How to Support Your Child

Self-harm is when someone intentionally hurts themselves to cope with difficult emotions. It's a way some teens express or manage intense feelings, not necessarily a desire to end their life. It’s natural to feel shocked, confused, guilty or angry when you find out that your child is self-harming.

This health information in multiple languages for BC families was made possible through the partnership of Our Kids Health with BC Children’s Health Bridge and BC Children’s Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre.  Looking for more evidence-based, culturally relevant health information?
