We're back by popular demand for a
SECOND SEASON of our podcast:
Where You Are.Through real stories, expertise, and practical tips, this podcast helps families and their children promote their mental health and wellness.
We heard you, and we're here to deliver because we too know how important of a topic mental health is for all families. With so much information out there, it can be hard to navigate through to get what you need, so we're ready to share more reliable information that's easy to understand. We’re kicking off Season 2 on March 4th with a candid look at the topic of self-injury to highlight the week of Self-Injury Awareness Day! Our friends at FamilySmart will be joining us to guest-host this special episode.
Check out these other fun changes we have in store:
- We’re excited to bring back host Michelle Horn for meaningful conversations with families and health professionals about important issues central to child and youth mental health. This season, she’s joined behind the mic by Bryn Askwith, program manager and Podcast producer here at the Kelty Centre.
- While we’re on the subject of hosts – congratulations to last season’s co-host Char Black – who is currently off on maternity leave. We hope she’s having fun – and a little bird told us she’ll be making a special appearance on the podcast later this season.
- We'll be recording in a brand new, state-of-the-art media studio to ensure you have the best listening experience!
All in all, we have a great and varied Season soon to be released – with conversations on subjects ranging from healthy eating, exploring the whole mind body-connection, technology use and your family, and more! Just like Season 1, this season will have episodes that feature parents, caregivers, youth, and leading health professionals to help us explore these key mental health and wellness topics. We can’t wait to share all this with you!
And of course, we couldn’t do any of this without your interest and support. Please subscribe to our podcast in order to receive updates and each episode as soon as they drop, and don’t hesitate to connect with us! We’re always happy to hear your questions, comments, stories and observations as you walk away with practical strategies that can help you support your child and youth's mental health and well-being.
