Basics of ADHD: Webinar Recording

This webinar on the Basics of ADHD focuses on the history of ADHD, how ADHD is diagnosed, its prevalence, causes and myths, ADHD assessment, co-occuring conditions, and ADHD from the preschool to post-secondary years.

About the Speaker:
Dr Kaveh Darabian (he/him) is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at the BC Children’s Hospital in the Provincial ADHD Clinic as well as in the Inpatient Programs. He completed his Fellowship at the B.C. Children’s Hospital and continued as an Attending Psychiatrist, which has included working with young people and their families in the ADHD Clinic. He enjoys working with young people and their families impacted by ADHD by tailoring individualized pharmacological and non-pharmacological management approaches. He also is a big proponent of clinical research and medical education and highly values incorporating these into his daily clinical practice. ADHD remains an undertreated and misunderstood condition that involves multiple life domains across all ages and Dr Darabian is committed to helping and advocating for this population.
