This website provides age-appropriate information to help kids, teens and parents deal with a family break up. It is produced by the Justice Education Society with significant contributions by BC’s Health Justice Alliance and generously funded by the Department of Justice Canada.

Families Change offers practical tips and resources to help you during this challenging time. We know that every family’s journey is different, and while our resources may not cover everything you’re going through, we hope you’ll find something here that offers comfort and guidance.

The site content was authored with input from family counsellors, guidance counsellors, doctors, psychologists, lawyers, parents, teens and kids. The website provides general information about the law. It does not provide legal advice. Each person’s family is different and for this reason the website does not replace the specialized guidance that may be provided by lawyers and other professionals.
