Sitting Meditation - Dr. Vo - 13 minutes

Thanks!

In my work with kids who have anxiety, I often distinguish between what is brain function (e.g. the production of automatic thoughts) and what is mind function (e.g. awareness and mindfulness). So in this sitting meditation I would prefer to think of intrusive thoughts as being a function of the brain, and focus on how the mind can be aware of those thoughts and also let them go while refocusing on breath.

Also, I might change the script where anger is mentioned, and simply state "feeling" instead. This allows the listener to fill in their own emotional experience with greater ease. For example, I recognized my sadness in the recent loss of a pet, so anger didn't fit for me.

Keep up the good work! Thanks for making these recordings.
