Connecting with Our Kids When Anxiety Leads to Social Isolation

September 22, 2026 6:30pm – 8:00pm

When kids spend a lot of time alone because of their anxiety, it can be frustrating and challenging for parents. Join us as Christine M. Yu, M.A., Registered Clinical Counsellor, and a parent talk about the hard stuff. Learn some strategies that can help us connect with our kids when they are socially isolated.

We invite you to join the FamilySmart team and other families in a supportive space where your voice and perspective truly matter. Together, you'll watch a video and share strategies to help navigate those hard moments, and focus on strengthening our understanding and connection with our kids.

Whether you have questions or unique ideas from your own journey, your contributions are a valuable part of our conversation. This inclusive, supported discussion is gently facilitated by a FamilySmart Family Peer Support Worker who understands the challenges we face as parents.

6:30pm-8:00pm Pacific Time (British Columbia)
