Simon Fraser University and University of British Columbia warmly invite you to participate in a special visit to Vancouver B.C. by Dr. Ilan Dinstein from Ben-Gurion University (BGU) of the Negev, Israel, on Sept 19, 2019. The goal of the visit is to explore a possible autism research collaboration between BGU and BC researchers, universities and stakeholders.
This 3-hour event will include a presentation from Dr. Ilan Dinstein about the new National Autism Research Centre (NAC) of Israel (see video www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5m8s86_s4g). The NAC conducts cutting-edge autism research on the causes of autism and develops new technologies and treatments for the disorder. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with key BC stakeholders, to explore needs, gaps, and ideas for how BC organizations/stakeholder groups could benefit from a collaboration with BGU.
We welcome your suggestions of topics to include at the session. If you have any items you’d like to discuss, questions you’d like to be addressed, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org before Aug 15, 2019 and we will do our best to include your recommendations in the schedule.
Please feel free to forward this message to any of your colleagues who would be interested in participating. In the meantime, please RSVP by registering, and if you have any questions or concerns, please contact Grace Iarocci, email@example.com. We look forward to seeing you soon!
