Medications are often used to treat the symptoms of many mental health disorders, and can play an integral role in a child or youth’s overall treatment plan. However, the use of alcohol or other drugs may impact the effectiveness of such medications. In this Pinwheel, you will learn about the effects and risks of mixing medications with substances such as cigarettes, alcohol, marijuana and other street drugs.
