Family Perspectives Needed to help Inform a Refresh to the Kelty Mental Health Website ($$ Gift Cards for Your Time!)

Julia H., Project Manager on March 28, 2017

The Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre is making improvements to our website to help make easier for people who visit to find what they are looking for and ensure that what we have on the site reflects the needs and preferences of those who use it.  We are seeking input from parents/caregivers of children or youth to provide input as we undertake these improvements.

The feedback sessions will consist of 30-45 minute phone conversations answering a few questions for feedback on development of our new website. A $20.00 gift certificate of your choosing will be given to you for each feedback session. We anticipate four or five sessions over an eight month period.

We will ask questions such as how you find the wording of a particular topic, how you like the look of the website, whether you find it difficult to find what you are searching for, whether the website was sensitive to your situation, and whether there were gaps that you think could be better addressed.

We are looking for:

  • Parents/caregivers familiar and unfamiliar with our current websites or other mental health websites;
  • Parents/caregivers who are less inclined to spend time working through a website for information and those who are tech savvy;
  • Parents/caregivers who have had involvement with the BC child and youth mental health system and parents unfamiliar with the mental health system; and
  • Parents/caregivers from different regions of the province.

If one of these sounds like you and you are interested in being a part of supporting the development of one of BC’s most valued mental health resources, we would love to hear from you! Just email us a few lines letting us know where you fit in to the above categories and why you would like to be involved.

Please email Lisa Woudzia, Kelty Program Manager, at to express your interest by Friday April 7th.
