The Seven Days of Kelty! Our Virtual Open House

Aazadeh on December 15, 2014

You may be noticing a flurry of posts on the Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre Twitter and Facebook pages. That’s because we’ve decided to have our Kelty Open House online this year! In the past 6 years, we’ve had an in-person Open House in the Kelty Centre or in the community. This year is the 7th year of the Kelty Centre, and we thought, “Let’s reach everyone we can by going online!” That way, all the people that can’t make it to visit us in person can still learn all about everything Kelty!

All this week, you’ll be seeing posts on our social media pages about the history of the Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre and how we got to where we are today. We’ll be talking about our partnership with The F.O.R.C.E. Society for Kids’ Mental Health, and how our Parents in Residence and Youth in Residence help us have a unique, collaborative model of service and support.

We will also be highlighting some of the great resources that have been created by the Health Literacy team at BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services, who work with the Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre to create tools and resources for the public on a wide range of mental health and substance use topics.

We’re also hoping that you have stories and memories about the Kelty Centre from the past 7 years that you would like to share with us. If you’d like to share, please email us at, or Tweet us @KeltyCentre or post on our Facebook wall using #7DaysofKelty or #MyKeltyMoment.

We hope to hear from you soon, and we hope you enjoy our Virtual Open House!
