Michelle C. on December 10, 2014

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for Balancing Our Minds 2015: Everyday Champions of Wellness!  The event will take place on Thursday, February 12th at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.  We expect that over 1,000 high school students from across BC will come together for an exciting day of learning and dialogue around how to be a champion of mental wellness!

The Balancing Our Minds Youth Summit is a free, one-day event for high school age youth (13-18) to learn about mental health and engage in fun activities and thoughtful dialogue.  The purpose of the event is to build awareness of mental health and substance use, decrease stigma, connect youth with resources, and promote mental wellness in schools and communities. The 2015 event will focus on recognizing and becoming a Champion of Wellness!

Balancing our Minds is organized by BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services in partnership with the Vancouver Canucks.  It is planned in collaboration with youth organizations that work in the area of mental health and with youth who are passionate about breaking down barriers and creating connections.

Details and registration information are available here: keltymentalhealth.ca/BOM2015.  Please register your students by January 30th.

We look forward to seeing you there!
