Interactive Bedtime Routine Activity Now Available!

Does your child have difficulty getting to bed? Is bedtime a regular battle in your house? Many families deal with bedtime struggles on a regular basis, which can impact the physical and mental health of the whole family. Bedtime struggles can be stressful and can cause conflict within the family, and not getting enough sleep can lead to irritability, difficulty paying attention, hyperactivity, and mood changes. What’s more, children with mental health challenges may face additional obstacles to getting a good night’s sleep due to the medication they are on or the condition they have.

One of the best ways to deal with bedtime struggles is having a consistent bedtime routine. The Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre has just developed an interactive bedtime routine activity that you can complete online! This activity will help kids and parents/caregivers develop a more structured routine before bed. Families can customize the routine and then check off the activities as they complete them. Once all the activities are complete families will receive a special goodnight message! Families can save and print off their customized routine, and create different routines for different days of the week. We encourage you to try out the interactive bedtime routine activity with your family!
