Building a Mindful Community: Youth Summit 2013

Wednesday, February 27, 2013, Chan Centre for Family Health Education at BC Children’s Hospital

Are you a high school student or teacher in BC? Are you passionate about promoting mental wellness in your school community?  Looking for a way to engage in thoughtful dialogue with other schools from across the province?  Then you should register to attend the 2013 Youth Summit!

The Youth Summit is designed for youth by youth and young adults who work in the area of mental health and are passionate about breaking down barriers and creating connections! Up to five students and one staff member from each school are invited to attend this full day event. The summit will also be virtually broadcast live across the province.

Youth Summit participants will have the opportunity to engage in activities and dialogue to improve their understanding of how mental health affects us all and how we can work together to break down barriers and create change in schools across BC. The day will include multi-media presentations, panel discussions, activities to encourage thoughtful dialogue, good food and the opportunity to meet like-minded youth from across the province!
