mindcheck.ca is now on Facebook and Twitter!

on July 24, 2012

mindcheck.ca is now on Facebook (facebook.com/mindcheck.ca) and Twitter (@mindcheck_ca), and we encourage you to go and check us out!

The mindcheck.ca social media channels are another way for youth and young adults in BC to communicate with one another and share thoughts, feelings, experiences, questions, and resources related to different mental health challenges. Our hope is that the Facebook page and Twitter feed will become an online community forum for open dialogue about all kinds of mental health topics, including early signs and symptoms, help-seeking, and stigma-busting.

Because the mindcheck.ca social media channels are designed for youth, they will also be managed by youth! Brent and Sarah – the two Youth in Residence from the Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre – will be actively engaging with these channels on a regular basis, and keeping you up to date on the latest activity on www.mindcheck.ca.

If you’d like to become part of the mindcheck.ca online community, please “Like” our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter - and encourage others to do the same!
